Gay Thailand Temples and Cultural Tour
Day 1: Arrival into Bangkok
Welcome to Bangkok! Upon arrival, a local guide will meet you at the airport and transfer you to our hotel. Since most flights arrive in the evening, there are no scheduled activities on this day. However, if everyone arrives early enough, we will have dinner this evening.
Day 2: Temples!
After breakfast, we will make our way to the amazing Grand Palace, home of Thailand’s king. We will also visit the Temple of the Emerald Buddha and its jade Buddha statue. We will wrap up the afternoon with a visit to Wat Pho to see more of Thailand’s wealthy Buddhist heritage.
This afternoon we will explore the Klongs (canals) of Thonburi. Our first stop is at the impressive Wat Arun, named for the Indian goddess of dawn. We then obey narrow canals through neighborhoods where the canal serves as the main “road”. Next, we’ll stop by Chinatown and sample some local delicacies. Thai food is world famous and for nice reason. Its full of flavor, easy to build and very healthy. The most famous Thai dish is Pad Thai, which is a stir-fried rice noodle dish cooked with eggs, fish sauce, garlic, shallots, bean sprouts, coriander leaves, tofu or chicken, tamarind pulp and served with spring onions, crushed nuts and lime juice. It was popularized during World War II and has become the countrys national dish.
