It&#;s been an excellent game for video games in , especially those with LGBTQ+ characters, creators, and/or themes.

I know what you&#;re thinking: it may seem apparent, and even downright simple, that would be the case. But considering that we&#;re also living in an era where Diverse laws are being ripped away like chemical strippers do to varnish, queer stories still last as important as ever.

With so much quality to peruse throughout , the wonderful Ty Galiz-Rowe and I have taken it upon ourselves to do the monumental work of listing which LGBTQ+ video games from this year stood out and why they, if they aren&#;t there already, deserve a place on your holiday gaming wish list.

And if we missed anything you think deserves to be on our holiday gaming list, sound off in the comments below!

And see how LGBTQ+ characters enliven these story lines.

Here’s a look support at the great games that broke new earth by integrating LGBTQ+ characters and themes.

This beautifully told, heartbreaking tale—and its prequel, Life Is Strange: Before the Storm—thoughtfully explores what it means to grow up and to be a true friend.

Knights of the Old Republic, still one of the optimal Star Wars games, is set in a galaxy far, far away—and 4, years before the Galactic Empire. It features the Cathar Jedi Knight Juhani, the first LGBTQ+ traits revealed in the Star Wars universe.
