Sadly, your visions of snowy wasteland, funny accents, and quirky characters are far from the authenticity.

Fargo is a city that defies convention for North Dakota. It is progressive, welcoming, and full of fun times. It also has a sizable brewpub scene.

And, yes, they host a Pride celebration between it and its sister city across the Red River, Moorhead, Minnesota.

Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Gender diverse, and Queer (LGBTQ) Pride Month is currently celebrated each year in June to honor the Stonewall Uprising in Manhattan. Fargo-Moorhead Event takes place each August, and goals have been established to empower, educate, and support the LGBTQ community throughout the region. Enjoy Parade in the Park, a 5k, procession, and many other events.

Drag Shows

You often don't have to look too strenuous to see some great drag from our local performers. The downtown VFW, The Aquarium, and Sanctuary Events Center are just a few venues that consistently host performances. Check the events calendar for upcoming shows.

    I'd have to agree with sambini about he Trader and Trapper, although I frequented it in the mid's. Thirsty Thursdays, aka $5 all you can drink, 3 for 1's, place was packed to the rafters. Lots of fond memories, and plenty I don't remember.
