Clive Davis Talks Bisexuality, Whitney Houston&#;s Death, Usher With Katie Couric

By the time Clive Davis&#; interview with Katie Couric aired on &#;Katie&#; this afternoon (3 pm EST), the big bombshell had already been dropped: Clive Davis, in his new autobiography out today, came out as bi, having first begun a monogamous relationship with another man after his second marriage fell apart in the mids.

&#;First of all, i was only turning to bisexuality after my second marriage failed, so it was not an issue through my life,&#; said Davis during the hour-long program dedicated to his career. &#;When the marriage failed in the mids, i opened myself up to the concept that i could possess a relationship with a man&#; I thought it was private, number one, but i did immediately reveal it to the people who count; my children, i was totally open to my lock friends, I just didn&#;t hold the sign up.&#;

Would you be surprised if it were confirmed?
Yeah, I would, but I would congratulate him.

With that song about threesomes, I don’t it’s happening soon [laughs].
Unless she’s an open bisexual then it could.

Perhaps showcasing that salacious side was an seek to recharge his sex appeal?
Maybe it’s life imitating art. Maybe that’s what he was doing or does, I don’t grasp. But it’s not something I’m into.

Another thing most question is your last name. Any special reason for keeping it Raymond?
[Laughs] I don’t think because a relationship doesn’t function, you have to transform your name back. It’s an asinine question. Why not? Prior to getting married I kept my ex-husband’s last name. People have such a small expectancy for marriage that when they divorce it’s ‘Why does she still have his name?’ Dude, I was supposed to keep his name until I die. I wasn’t supposed to get a divorce [laughs]

When it comes to writing about Mike Flangan&#;s Netflix productions, I usually deep-dive into a certain theme or aspect of the series I set up interesting. Because when it comes to critiques, I really don&#;t have any; from The Haunting of Hill House onwards, I have adored everything he&#;s deposit out pretty much top to bottom. I never bothered proofreading these series from a critical perspective because it would just be a stack of fantastic, big, gushing adulation, and I get enough of that from my Flangan-fanatic (Flanatic?) partner as it is.

And I reflection it would be the similar story with his latest, The Fall of the House of Usher; a sort-of anthology, sort-of single story that adapts a stack of Edgar Allan Poe&#;s stories, starring Bruce Greenwood as the man at the brain of the titular house, Roderick Usher.
