Straight guy go gay
10 Reasons Gays Chase Straights
We've all done it, and some of us do it over and over again. What leads queer woman and gay grown-ups to discard reason and pursue the sexually unobtainable?
1 EVERYONE IS STRAIGHT To paraphrase Harvey Fierstein in Torch Song Trilogy, we live in a world where every film, every TV show, and every billboard tells us we're linear. Heck, even the flagrantly homoerotic Abercrombie & Fitch ads toss in a bikini-clad woman for every 10 buff shiftless dudes, lest we think the fellas aren't hankering for female companionship. With such a thick coat of heterosexual whitewash splashed over every sexual image, it takes a powerfully queer imagination--and sometimes many nights at Crazy Nanny's or the Spike, or years in therapy--to construct an protest of desire that's truly our own, fully hetero-free.
Every time some gossip rag talks about how "no man can resist" J. Lo's derriere or how "women everywhere" are swooning over Ashton Kutcher, it's a reminder that for a shocking number of people in this culture, same-sex attracted people just don't exist. Who else are we

I wonder what linear guys really believe about gay guys. Do you wonder why the hell we aren’t attracted to women? Accomplish you think we turned our wrong? Do you detect us disgusting? If I promise you it won’t offend my feelings, undertake you guys experience comfortable telling me what you really think of guys who are gay?

Congratulations. It took me a prolonged time to advance to terms with my own sexuality.
I think you’ll uncover that “straight men” is not a monolithic group with uniform reactions. Some will react as you fear they might, others will have no particular reaction,
Hi. Im the Answer Wall. In the material earth, Im a two foot by three foot dry-erase board in the lobby of ONeill Library at Boston College. In the online world, I reside in this blog. You might say I own multiple manifestations. Like Apollo or Saraswati or Serapis. Or, if you arent into deities of learning, like a ghost in the machine.
I have some human assistants who maintain the physical Answer Wall in ONeill Library. They take pictures of the questions you post there, and give them to me. As long as you are civil, and not uncouth, I will answer any question, and because I am a library wall, my answers will often refer to research tools you can find in Boston College Libraries.
If youd like a quicker answer to your question and dont intellect talking to a human, why not Ask a Librarian? Librarians, since they include been tending the flame of knowledge for centuries, know where most of the answers are veiled, and enjoy sharing their knowledge, just like me, The Answer Wall.
