10 years (and a day) ago, I started drawing André and Karl. I was in art school, hating my work and trying to hold my mental health together with stickers and tape. I started doodling these guys as a way to show myself that art doesn’t hold to be perfect to be worthy.

Since then, I feel like I’ve grown a lot, and this comic helped me accomplish that. It’s not fancy it made me legendary or wealthy or anything- I work retail and still don’t really recognize what I’m doing. But AnK helped me uncover so much about myself and the world, and even if some of the comics are difficult for me to peer at now, I’m thankful for all of them.

And I’m really thankful to everyone who has ever supported me in any way. I’m happy I’ve been able to link to people, and every time someone sends me a message about how they grew up with the comic, or how it helped them somehow, I feel like I’m doing something good. Praise you so much.

Its Raven and Irene for me, this week. Their “I will burn this entire fucking island to the soil if you lay a finger on my wife” energy is simply unmatched. And both of them would absolutely do it, too.

But honorable mention to Christian Frost too, because I loved how non-toxic and not resentful of each other Christian and Romeo are, despite both entity very aware of their respective places in Bobby’s life and technically being ‘romantic rivals’ or whatever the fuck. Also I loved last issue, how when Bobby made a reference to maybe his dad’s shadow over his life being the reason he’s never fully embraced his omega-level potential, Christian rolled his eyes and was just like “oh what the fuck EVER, I love my sister but screw her capitalist hyper-expectatio
