Gay Jeans show lack of thoughtfulness in Betabrands marketing
Last week, Betabrand announced its line of “Gay Jeans.” These jeans look just fond regular jeans, but after months of wear, the indigo dye fades away to reveal rainbow thread stitched into the pants.

If an edgy, albeit gimmicky, designer clothing company didn’t perceive the need to market the rainbow jeans with the word gay included, then why did Betabrand?
Why exactly these jeans needed to be labeled as “gay” is still unclear.
Frankly, the label of “gay” has no real bearing on these jeans and is a tasteless marketing approach. Calling them “gay” doesn’t add any value and doesn’t really help market the product.

Betabrand has released the new line of denim that starts off looking like any other pair of dark wash jeans but with period and wear, they disclose colorful rainbow yarn.
"Brand-new Homosexual Jeans look and execute like any other pair of fine five-pocket denims," Wheeler said in a statement. "But as they get older, they can't help showing their accurate colors -- literally!"
